Road Detours Planned For Farmington Utility Project

FARMINGTON, CT — Starting Tuesday, Oct. 10, motorists in Farmington will have to exercise some patience as a busy local road will be shut down for some utility work.
The Farmington Police Department said crews will be working on underground utility lines, resulting in the closure of a section of Burlington Road between West Meath Lane and Plainville Avenue (Route 177).
It will take place from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., police said.
Traffic will be detoured along River Road to Webster Street and onto Plainville Avenue (Route 177).
Detour signs will be in place.
