The Council for the Corporation of the City of Burlington, at its meeting to be held on October 17, 2023, intends to pass a by-law to stop up and close part of the assumed road allowance being an irregularly shaped parcel of land described as part of Old Plains Road West and legally described as Pt Rdal Btn Cons 1 & 2, designated as Part 1, 20R22429 (being the whole of PIN 07191-0206 (LT)) in the City of Burlington, Regional Municipality of Halton, and sell the lands to the abutting registered owner of 1511 Old Plains Road West.
At this meeting, Council will hear in person, or by his or her counsel, group of persons, or organization who claims their lands will be prejudicially affected by the said by-law. Delegations must register with the City Clerk’s Department by noon on October 16, 2023. Requests to delegate to this hybrid meeting can be made by completing the online delegation registration form at www.burlington.ca/delegate, by submitting a written request by email to the Office of the City Clerk at [email protected] or by phoning 905-335-7600, ext. 7481. It is recommended that virtual delegates include their intended remarks, which will be circulated to all members in advance, as a backup to any disruptions in technology issues that may occur.
