Burlington man dies in two-vehicle accident in Lake Geneva

A 51-year-old Burlington man died as a result of a two-vehicle accident that occurred Oct. 1 in the City of Lake Geneva.

Police responded to a report of a truck versus motorcycle accident about 12:57 p.m., Oct. 1 near the intersection of Interchange North and Minihan Road in the City of Lake Geneva, according to a press release from Police Chief Edward Gritzner.

Upon arriving at the scene, police officers identified the people involved in the accident and began investigating the crash.

The driver of the motorcycle was identified as Todd A. Barstow, 51, of Burlington, who was pronounced dead by the Walworth County Medical Examiner’s Office, according to the press release.

Police said the driver of the truck remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

The City of Lake Geneva Police Department was assisted by the City of Lake Geneva Fire/EMS Department, Wisconsin State Patrol, Walworth County Medical Examiner’s Office and the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office.
