Brenda Ann Rankin, 67, of Jacobsburg passed away peacefully at home with her family on October 8, 2023 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Brenda born on April 24, 1956 in Wheeling, WV and was daughter of late George C and Maryann Taylor.

Brenda loved working with her husband Gary in the United Methodist Ministries and volunteering time with the Burlington United Methodist Family Services in Burlington, WV. She was recently awarded the Susanna Wesley Award of Excellence Award from the General Commission of the United Methodist Men for her dedication to the church. She was an avid seamstress and loved watching Chipper Jones playing with the Atlanta Braves.

Surviving is her husband of 24 years Gary Rankin and 5 children, Susan (Larry) Downing of Kingston, Ohio, Debbie Rankin of Washington, PA, Holly Vankirk of Charleston, SC, Justin (Angie) Hensel of Camden, OH, and Beverly (Tommy) Patrone of Bellaire, Ohio. Surviving are her 15 grandchildren, Abigail Yoho, Ashley Vankirk, Jacob Yoho, Emilee Davis, Charles Downing, Clover (Kat) Clower, Vince Patrone, Dante’ Patrone, Maris Downing, Jackson Vankirk, Parker Hensel, Mike Gabbard, Austin Gabbard , Rachel Gabbard and Hope McIntosh. She is also survived by her brother Bruce (Linda) Taylor of Fort Gay, WV, sister in law Cindy (Dennis) Anuske- wic of St. Clairsville, OH, brother in law Jeff (Debbie) Rankin of Jacobsburg, OH, sister in law Melanie (Charlie) Reed of Bellaire, OH and sister in law Sandy (Mike) Frey of Worthington, OH and several nieces and nephews.

Friends and Family will be received to pay tribute to Brenda and celebrate her life at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home, 441 37th Street Bellaire Ohio 43906 with visitation on Thursday October 12, 2023 from 2-8pm and again on Friday October 13, 2023 from 12 until time of funeral services at 1pm with Rev. Myers as celebrant.
